The first step in buying a home is scheduling a consultation. In this 45 minute interview, I get to know you:
The second step to buying a house is getting pre-approved. I work with a lot of great lenders and based on our consultation, can make a recommendation to the one I think you’d work with the best. Some other costs associated with buying a home you should consider are:
After getting pre-approved, seeing homes is often the most fun part! After our consultation, I will set you up on an RMLS search. Then when you see a home you like, we get to tour! A few suggestions for showings:
While a 12 page document of legal mumbo-jumbo can be pretty intimidating, it’s my job to walk you through the choices you have when it comes to terms:
The Seller will then accept, reject, or counter with different terms. My job is to negotiate the best deal for you based on the goals you shared in the consultation.
Once we have Mutual Acceptance, you will be under contract and timelines will become critical. It’s my #1 job to protect your Earnest Money and adhere to timelines. Some contingencies to be ready for:
At this point, you will have signed documents and transferred utilities into your name. At 5pm on Closing Day, unless we’ve negotiated Rent Back, I’ll be handing you the keys to your new home. Congratulations!
